About Wilson Akpan Foundation
The Wilson Akpan Foundation (WAF) is a registered non-governmental and non-profit organization
established in 2018 with a clear mission to promote sustainable, equitable, and inclusive development across
communities. Since its inception, the Foundation has continued to expand its reach and impact through a variety
of programs focused on social development, human welfare, and justice. WAF is driven by a passion to
serve the underserved—empowering individuals, especially youths, women, children,
and indigenous groups—through education, healthcare, skills development, and advocacy.
We are a voice and force for development
Over the years, the Wilson Akpan Foundation has established itself as a credible voice
and force for development by initiating and supporting programs that directly address the needs of the most
vulnerable in society. From renovating dilapidated schools and offering free medical outreaches, to training
youths in vocational skills and fostering social research for policy change, WAF continues to stand as a
beacon of hope, dedicated to building stronger, healthier, and more empowered communities.
